Visitors have many public transport options for getting to Niagara Falls, hotels and downtown Buffalo. Metro shuttles, Metro buses, private shuttles, hotel courtesy shuttles, taxi cabs and limousines all provide swift transfers to and from Buffalo Niagara Airport (BUF).

The Ground Transportation area is located on the lower level, outside the front of the terminal building.

Buses

The Metro Link Shuttle bus number 204 runs from the airport to downtown Buffalo, while NFTA-Metro also operates a number of bus routes to city locations and beyond. The two main bus services are bus number 30, which runs to Niagara, and bus number 68, which runs to the Amtrak station in the city center; tickets can be bought on the buses.

Shuttle Buses

The main provider of shuttle buses at Buffalo Niagara International Airport is the Independent Taxi Association, which operates shuttle services to downtown Buffalo, Niagara Falls and hotels in the region; shuttles depart every hour. Numerous other companies offer shuttle services from the airport including connections with Toronto Pearson International Airport and John C Munro International Airport, both in Canada.

Many of Buffalo's hotel establishments provide courtesy shuttles for guests. You should check while booking your hotel whether it provides this service or not, although the information desk in the Baggage Reclaim area has a list of hotels that offer free shuttle services.

Numerous taxi firms have fleets of taxi cabs at Buffalo Niagara International Airport ready for transport to the city, Niagara Falls and hotels. The Independent Taxi Association is one of the more established taxi cab companies that operate from the airport and taxi ranks are located in front of the terminal building.
